The Master of Science degree in Medical Product Development Management (MPDM) is a Special Sessions graduate program offered by San José State University's College of Science, in collaboration with the College of Professional and Global Education一道本不卡免费高清 and the Lucas Graduate School of Business. The MPDM clinical research management program combines customized technical classes with MBA-level business and management courses.

The industry-relevant curriculum was designed in collaboration with experts from biomedical companies in the greater San Francisco Bay area. To accommodate students who work full-time, coursework is accelerated and held during evenings and weekends, and several classes are offered online for scheduling flexibility.

一道本不卡免费高清All students enrolled in the cohort Class of 2010 graduated (or completed the program successfully). Since then, 90% of them have had increased project responsibilities, been selected as team leaders, or been promoted. One graduate was elected to the NPSMA Board of Directors.

From the Class of 2011, 82% are now employed in the industry (compared to only 30% when they started the program). 9 of 11 students were employed in industry-relevant positions and 4 students advanced to higher positions by program completion. One student who was volunteering as a Project Manager when he started the program went on to serve as interim Chief Operations Officer for his company while participating in the program.

Applying to MPDM

Formal admission is required for the program. You can apply for admission in the fall semester.

Admission Requirement:

  • Be a baccalaureate graduate of an accredited four-year college or university;
  • Have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 (3.0 preferred) in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units of coursework;
  • An English-language proficiency exam is required for all students who graduated from a higher education institution in a country in which the primary language is not English.
  • Satisfactory completion of a 3-unit undergraduate course in introductory statistics and probability from an accredited college or university.
